Part-Time CDL Driver

Flexible CDL work — 2 to 4 days per week. Perfect for retired, semi-retired, or supplemental drivers.

The Role

Laufer Trucking is hiring Part-Time CDL Drivers out of Hartford, WI. These positions are built for experienced CDL holders looking for supplemental income, a step-down from full-time OTR, or just something to get you out of the house a couple days per week.

We work around your availability — perfect for retired drivers, side-gig drivers, or loves trucking without the full-time grind.

What the schedule looks like

Totally flexible. Could be 2–4 days per week. Many part-time drivers run local, but others choose to do one regional trip per week — like a 2-night run to Ohio, for example.

Some of our part-time drivers are available a couple of days per week year-round. Others take the Winters off and snowbird somewhere warm and rejoin us in the Spring. Almost anything works with part-time.

Equipment

You'll run our dry van or flatbed equipment depending on your preferences and experience. Late-model, well-maintained trucks — the same standard our full-time drivers run.

Pay & perks

We pay hourly, you get your own truck, and you're still eligible for our 401(k) match and safety bonus payout.

What you'll haul

Mix of palletized steel coils, bagged minerals, finished products, stamped parts, paper rolls, corrugated, and flatbed loads — varies by route and availability.
