Local driving at Laufer means Hartford-originating and -ending day runs, consistent routes, and being home to sleep in your own bed every night. You'll haul freight across southeastern Wisconsin and the greater Chicagoland area with equipment you can trust — no guesswork, no weeks on the road, no missing your family.
What You'll Drive
Our fleet runs primarily Freightliners with a few Volvos. While a handful of manuals are still in service, the vast majority are now automatic, and most local drivers operate sleeper-cab trucks for added comfort and flexibility throughout the workday. We run a diverse mix of trailers — dry vans, Conestogas, flatbeds, and step decks — and local drivers can work in either our van division or our flatbed division depending on experience and preference. We invest in new equipment every year and every truck and trailer is maintained to a high standard by our in-house maintenance team, so whether it's brand new or has a few years on it, you can count on equipment that is safe, dependable, and ready to work.
What We Offer
Competitive pay with consistent weekly hours: $26.00–$30.50/hour plus overtime depending on position and experience. Full benefits — health, dental, and vision — plus 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off.

Who We're Looking For
- 1Valid CDL-A license
- 2Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
- 3Preferred 18 months verifiable driving experience (less considered in some cases)
- 4Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen
- 5Must live within commuting distance of Hartford, WI
