The Role
Laufer Trucking is hiring a Local Dry Van Driver for daily routes within Wisconsin and the greater Chicagoland area. This is a home-daily driving position.
You'll operate a semi tractor with a 53′ dry van trailer on local routes, picking up and delivering freight at customer locations throughout WI and Chicagoland. You'll be doing a combination of drop-and-hook and live load/live unload stops, verify freight is properly loaded and secured if necessary and legally weighted, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, and keep accurate delivery logs. Start times vary day-to-day based on customer needs.

Facilities & support
Full-time maintenance staff, staffed wash bay, in-yard fuel and DEF, and a fully paved lot to keep your truck and personal vehicle clean.

Home daily, Mon–Fri · 40–55 hrs/week

$26.00–$28.50 / hr plus overtime
Experience
Class A CDL, 18 months
Coverage Area
Requirements
Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
Experience operating tractor-trailers or similar commercial vehicles
Understanding of load weight distribution
Comfortable navigating local delivery routes efficiently
Must live within a reasonable distance of our Hartford, WI terminal
Solid job history — no more than two jobs in the past three years
