The Role
Laufer Trucking is hiring a Local Flatbed Driver for daily routes in Wisconsin and the greater Chicagoland area. If you have hands-on flatbed experience and want to be home every night, this is a strong opportunity with a company that's been around since 1977.
You'll operate a variety of flatbed equipment — standard flatbeds, step decks, and conestogas — on local routes. Duties include proper load securement, tarping and strapping, pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintaining accurate delivery records. This is active, physical flatbed work on a local daily schedule.
Where you'll run
Wisconsin and the greater Chicagoland area, with occasional trips to Northeast Iowa.
Facilities & support
Full-time maintenance staff, staffed wash bay, in-yard fuel and DEF, and a fully paved lot to keep your equipment clean.
Schedule
Home daily, Mon–Fri · 40–55 hrs/week

Pay
$27.50–$30.50 / hr plus overtime
Experience
18 months Class A CDL
Coverage Area
Requirements
Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
Flatbed experience including load securement and tarping a plus
Will train the right candidate on flatbed work
Knowledge of weight distribution and legal load requirements
Must live within a reasonable distance of our Hartford, WI terminal
Solid job history — no more than two jobs in the past three years
